Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great fame with the stories that she shares about her childhood heartbreak. Swift showed an interest in music at an early age, and quickly moved from roles in children's theatre until her first performance before a crowd of thousands. Swift began to compose songs in the teen years. Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers NBA game. Swift created original music which was influenced by country artists like Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) and Dixie Chicks. Her material reflected Swift's experiences with tweens being apathetic. Swift's family moved into Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was thirteen so she would have more time exploring country music labels in Nashville.
